Thomas W. Adair

Tom is a Senior Partner with Pioneer Forensics LLC while also employed as a Senior Criminalist with the Westminster Police Department in the city of Westminster, Colorado. Tom has a Masters Degree in Entomology from Colorado State University and is Certified as a Footwear Examiner (CFWE) and Senior Crime Scene Analyst (CSCSA) with the International Association for Identification (IAI). He is the Editor for the Association for Crime Scene Reconstruction (ACSR), Board Member with NecroSearch International, and a past president of the Rocky Mountain Division of the International Association for Identification (RMDIAI), Rocky Mountain Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysts (RMABPA), and the Colorado AFIS Users Group. Tom also is serving on several boards and committees in various professional forensic organizations. He has authored and co-authored over three dozen scientific papers and regularly provides forensic training to various agencies and individuals. See CV . Tom is actively engaged with research in footwear and blood evidence and is co-creator of the Colorado Forensic Footwear Information Network (COFFIN).

Richard Tewes:

Rich is a Senior Partner with Pioneer Forensics LLC. Rich’s Law Enforcement career began in March 1986 when he was hired as a patrol officer with the Town of Brookfield, Wisconsin Police Department. In September of 1990, Rich transferred to the West Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Police Department as a patrol officer. In 1991, Rich trained as a crime scene technician and started his formal education in forensic examination of crime scenes. In 1996, Rich began training in fingerprint classification and comparison work. In March 2000, the City of Lakewood, Colorado, Criminalistics Unit hired Rich for the position of Criminalist II/Senior Crime Scene Analyst. Later that year, in November 2000, Rich received certification at the highest level for Crime Scene professionals, Senior Crime Scene Analyst, through the International Association for Identification (IAI) and continues to hold this certification today. Rich was also recently Certified as a Footwear Examiner (CFWE) through the IAI.  In June 2005, Rich took a position as the Forensic Services Manager for the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, overseeing both the crime lab and property evidence bureau. Rich is active in the field of crime scene investigations and is actively engaged with research in footwear and blood evidence. Rich is a co-creator of the Colorado Forensic Footwear Information Network (COFFIN).

Bruce Isaacson:

Bruce is a Senior Partner with Pioneer Forensics LLC, while also employed as an investigator with a large Denver metropolitan law enforcement agency. Bruce was selected as the lead investigator of the Cold Case Homicide squad in his agency and serves as one of their polygraph experts as well. Bruce is also a member of the hostage negotiation team. Over his 23 year law enforcement career, Bruce has earned the respect of his peers for his meticulous approach to criminal investigations. He has a reputation for quiet determination and extreme patience, both of which are essential when investigating complex crimes. Bruce studied criminal justice at the Metropolitan College of Denver and is a 1986 graduate of the Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy. Bruce is President of the Rocky Mountain Hostage Negotiators, member of the Critical Incident Team for the 18 th Judicial District, and member of several professional organizations including the American Polygraph Association. Bruce is also an instructor for the Colorado Sheriff’s Training Institute and has co-authored a scientific paper on suicide investigation. See CV.
